Discuss pages inline — create, resolve, and moderate.
Comments let members discuss a page without changing its content.
Capabilities
- Create — anyone with the
commenterspace role (or higher) can comment. - Resolve — mark a thread as handled.
- Moderate — remove or manage others' comments.
Authorization is author-or-permission: you can always act on your own comment; acting on someone else's requires the moderate capability. Content-level comment actions are governed by the space role, not organization RBAC.
Where they live
A comment either belongs to the page — shown in the section under the document — or to a passage of text. Both kinds coexist, and replies inherit the kind of the thread they answer.
Inline comments
Select text while editing and choose Kommentieren (⌘/Ctrl + Alt + M). The passage is highlighted, and the thread appears in the margin rail beside it, ordered by its position in the document rather than by age. Clicking a highlight focuses its thread and vice versa; overlapping passages are normal and each keeps its own thread. Readers see the highlights and the rail without opening the editor.
The anchor is stored on the comment as opaque JSON that the API never interprets. It names a mark inside the document, so concurrent editing moves it with its text instead of leaving it pointing at a stale offset.
If the annotated text is deleted, the comment is not deleted and does not jump elsewhere: it stays in the rail marked as orphaned, next to the excerpt of the text it was originally made on.
Resolving a comment keeps it for the record while clearing it from the active view; resolved inline threads can be shown again from the rail.
